At the 2026 Large Cars and Guitars Truck Show, Chris caught up with Jackson Sullivan of S&T Construction to check out his hard-working 2007 Peterbilt 379 log truck.

This Pete is powered by a C15 ACERT twin-turbo CAT MXS engine backed by a 13-speed Eaton Fuller transmission and 3.36 rears. With 1.7 million miles showing on the dash, this truck still spends its days traveling into logging sites, hauling timber and occasionally making longer runs as far as Ohio.

Jackson grew up around the family business and spent years riding in the company’s trucks before his father handed this Peterbilt over to him. Since purchasing it in 2020, the family has completely transformed the truck with new stacks, step boxes, window chops, visors, fenders and plenty of custom details.

Even though it regularly travels off-road, the truck is washed as many as four times a week to keep it looking show-ready. The matching log trailer is equipped with approximately 100 lights and four underglow lights that illuminate the entire underside at night.

Jackson also explains the skill and patience required to haul logs safely, why no two days in the logging business are the same and what he enjoys about attending a non-judged truck show where drivers can simply meet, talk and enjoy the trucks.

While walking around the 2026 Large Cars and Guitars Truck Show, Chris discovered a working piece of trucking history—a 1972 Autocar dump truck owned by 20-year-old Kaden Brules of Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Kaden purchased the truck through Facebook Marketplace for approximately $16,000, and it has been earning its keep ever since. Powered by its original 335 Cummins and equipped with a 13-speed double-overdrive transmission and 680 rear ends, this old-school Autocar regularly hauls rock, shale and loads weighing around 20 tons.

The truck may only reach about 55 miles per hour, but it was built to work. Despite being more than five decades old, it still retains much of its original interior, dashboard, steering wheel, badging and Cummins diesel engine.

Kaden explains how he found the truck, what it is like to drive every day and why he would choose this 1972 Autocar over any new truck on the road.

At the 2026 Large Cars and Guitars Truck Show and Music Festival, Chris caught up with 16-year-old Colin Burles from Jonesville, Tennessee, to check out his family’s incredible 1980 International Transtar Eagle II.

This classic International cabover was discovered on Facebook Marketplace after Colin’s father—who had always wanted one—saw the listing and went to take a look. He didn’t come home empty-handed.

The Transtar features a Silver 92 Detroit, 4.10 rear ends, a 13-speed transmission and a beautifully preserved original interior that feels like a true trucking time capsule. It is paired with a 2019 Barrett livestock trailer and is currently being shown while serving as a backup truck for the family’s cattle-hauling operation.

Colin recently turned 16, but he already knows exactly what he wants to do: haul cattle. In another couple of years, he hopes to be behind the wheel, burning fuel and turning heads in a truck that represents everything he loves about old-school trucking.

While visiting Shine One Truck Wash & Polish Shop in Emporia, Virginia, Chris caught up with Anthony Taylor, owner of XRoads Logistics, LLC.

Anthony is a third-generation truck driver with more than 20 years behind the wheel. Ironically, he grew up disliking driving and traveling—and once swore he would never become a truck driver. After leaving a dead-end sawmill job, he earned his CDL, entered the trucking industry, and convinced his wife to help him start their own business.

Today, Anthony operates as a fully independent owner-operator, finding his own freight, serving his own customers, and hauling everything from grain, corn, soybeans and fertilizer to recyclables, glass, road salt and other bulk commodities.

His working truck is a 2005 International 9900iX equipped with a CAT ACERT engine, an 18-speed transmission and 3.55 rear gears, pulling a 2026 aluminum end-dump trailer. Anthony also explains why he purchased a second 2005 truck as a backup to protect his customers, reduce downtime and keep XRoads Logistics moving.

We also discuss Anthony’s family history in trucking, learning to work on trucks at a dairy farm, the popularity of International trucks in Virginia and eastern North Carolina, and his longtime connection to Shine One Truck Wash & Polish Shop.

At the Midwest Truck Fest put on by Dickerson Custom Trucks, Chris caught up with Kendrick Bauman and his incredible 2022 Kenworth W900 livestock hauler known as “Shiny Boots.”

This truck started life as a day cab before being transformed with an old bunk, old-school doors, custom touches from 12 Gauge Customs, a Dane Nelson bug shield, Betts lights, custom step boxes, a hidden DEF tank, a beautiful Deadly Customs interior, and plenty of details that make people stop and look twice.

Kendrick also talks about what it takes to haul livestock, why caring for the animals matters, how much work goes into cleaning a working cattle and pig trailer for a show, and how this three-year build finally brought his vision to life.

At the Midwest Truck Fest at the Lucas Oil Speedway, Chris caught up with Richie Foster and his beautiful 2022 Peterbilt 389. Richie has been trucking for 34 years, starting out in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and today he pulls open-deck heavy haul freight with Reinsfelder.

This truck stands out with its turquoise and gray color combo, custom wrapped boxes, hidden DEF tank, Spare Time Fab interior, shag carpet, 12 Gauge Custos air ride, and plenty of clean details throughout. Chris catches up with Caleb Hammett and his now-fiancée Johanna after a proposal that turned into one of the most memorable moments of the show.

Caleb walks us through the story of how he pulled off the surprise proposal on the jumbotron, with help from family, friends, and the Shell Rotella crew. The truck at the center of it all is his 2016 Peterbilt 389 glider, known as “Short Bus,” paired with a 2025 MAC end dump. The truck originally came from Connecticut, which made the story even more special since Johanna is originally from there.

After the proposal story, Caleb gives us a full walkaround of the truck, including the custom hand-painted lettering, silver leaf details, rebuilt parts after a head-on accident, custom T-bars, fender work, polished trailer, hydraulic tank setup, and the everyday work-truck details that make this 389 stand out.

Johanna also talks about growing up around trucks, trucking herself, and how trucking has always been part of her life.

Cecil Wolfe of Blue Ridge, Virginia, a man with more than 50 years behind the wheel and a lifetime of trucking stories to tell shares the history of the very first truck he bought when starting Wolfe Motor Lines — a truck that began life as a short wheelbase day cab with 750,000 miles and has now seen more than 3.5 million miles. Over the years, that truck has been stretched, rebuilt, transformed, featured in the Shell Rotella calendar, fitted with an Aerostar sleeper, and powered by the same block and crank after decades of hard work.

But this story does not stop with Cecil. His son Jeremiah continues the family tradition with his own 2017 Peterbilt 389 glider, a working heavy-haul truck built in-house and powered by a 6NZ Caterpillar. Jeremiah walks us around the truck and shares the custom touches, from the ROK visor and 12 Gauge panels to the air ride front end, Legendary Extreme lighting, blacked-out interior, and handmade details built from parts found around the shop. This 389 is not just for show — it regularly pulls lowboys, hauls construction equipment, and has grossed around 220,000 pounds on the job.

At the 2026 Shell Rotella SuperRigs Truck Show in Bristol, Tennessee, Chris caught up with Darek Joubert from Owatonna, Minnesota and took a close look at a rare 2023 Kenworth W900 100th Anniversary Edition with a custom 007 paint scheme.

This truck is number 603 of only 900 built, and it features a long list of clean custom touches, including Highway 20 front air suspension, a RLK visor, 12 Gauge Customs steps and rear plate work, Lifetime Lug Nut Covers details, and paint and interior work by Severson in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

With only about 1,200 miles on the clock, this W900 is more than just a showpiece — it’s planned to go to work pulling step deck freight. Darek also shares the story of how his mother taught him to drive, what it was like learning the hard way, and the advice he would give new drivers just getting started.
